Bot'Ox Drop Free Logo Remix of 'Overdrive'

The Frenchies always seem to get away with it. Crazy ass names (The club 'Rectum' in Gaspar Noe's 'Irreversible' springs to mind), accents that women love and uber chic bands with the most insanely addictive set of tunes you could ever imagine. Fast cars, drugs, casual sex - I'm just happy my Rage Against the Machine tickets arrived and didn't get nicked by the postman.

Another Parisian duo revving it up are, Bot'Ox (we could NEVER get away with that name) with their latest single, 'Overdrive', out on I'm A Cliche Records this summer. Expect rolling basslines, krautrock influences and mad as hell electro beats. To get us in the mood, they're giving away a remix by fellow French upstart, Logo, last seen on Kitsune's Maison 9 compilation, absolutely free.

Catch it here.

Chapel Club Drop Free Horrors Remix Of 'Five Trees'

Fell asleep during the election vote count last night. It was a depressingly underwhelming experience, switched over to catch the last hour of Schwarzenegger's 'Red Heat', a true 80s action, exploitation classic. Bad humour, gratuitous nudity, racial profiling and big ass guns. It was Arnie at his deadpan best. "I do not want to touch his ass. I want to make him talk!". Amazing. I pissed myself laughing.

Another bunch of dudes laughing all the way to indie stardom are Dalston new wave rockers, Chapel Club. Currently on tour around the country, the band will be putting on a special show in London at the Village Underground on May 27. To get us in the mood, they've roped in fellow slim fit buddies, the Horrors to remix their new single, 'Five Trees' out on A&M this month.

And it's pretty damn good too. Download it here.
